Andy Cook has always been obsessed by DIY, but especially with doing creative work.

In 2024, he decided to stop all of his normal work, and concentrate on creating beautiful lamps, using copper, wood and any other cool items he could find to add a uniqueness to the completed item. His goal is to make the lamps ever more arty, but he is also a stickler when it comes to the technical and legal requirements. He has made sure that every lamp is compliant with the South African electrical regulations (SANS 10142-1). Copper is an excellent conductor, so he has gone over and above the regulations in terms of insulation and earthing, so that every customer can have complete confidence in the safety of every KOPR product.
